Penang, Malaysia

After leaving Phuket, Thailand, we sailed overnight to Penang, Malaysia. We did not take any excursions in this port of call as we spent the day with Pam's brother and sister-in-law. We had a wonderful day of rest, visiting and catching up with family we'd not seen for about two years. At the end of the cruise we fly from Singapore back up to Penang to spend a week with Tim, Shauna, Kaleb and Annie. (In full disclosure, these postings are commencing from Tim and Shaunas as we are sequentially taking you through the ports of call. More Penang photos will follow as this week goes on)

The cruise ship could not dock at the terminal as it is still underconstruction. So, like in Phuket, we tendered from the ship to the shore.
Mr. 'Ted' Tay, measuring Gene for a custom tailored suit to be completed at the end of our weeks stay. Cost for the suit will be equivalent to purchasing a standard suit at Carsons, after all their sales and discounts.
Tim and Shauna Archer seeing us off as we head back to the tender to get back on board Rhapsody of The Seas.
