Like most cities, tourism is a major contributor to the economy. Penang is no different.
This is called the 'Blue Mansion'. It is dye, not paint. Constructed in the mid 1800's (?) as one of several homes in the Asian region by an extremely sucessful Chinese businessman who started work carrying water as a 16 year old. Officially, he had 8 wives and many children. Last child was born when he was 74. He died at 76, and his will said his properties could NOT be consolidated until the youngest child had passed.
Sign speaks for itself. You are greeted by a 'guide' who takes you through each room of the store and provides samplings of each chocolate on display. OH, OH, twist my arm!! (We thought of
you Katie. You'd of loved this place) White, milk and dark chocolates. Mango, kiwi, macadamia nuts, and
durian. Dark chocolate covered espresso beans. YUM!

Love the Hibiscus! Guess I'm too old to get excited about chocolate!
To me your never to old to get excited about chocolate. Maybe because I work in a chocolate shop. Hope you guys enjoyed their offerings.
