Headed to the Grand Canyon

We're in Arizona for 4 days. Out to see a friend in SURPISE!!!, AZ on Saturday and Sunday. We flew out today, rented a car and headed up to Williams, AZ for Thursday and Friday nights. Gonna do the Grand Canyon thing on Friday (as much of it you can do in a 7 hour tour).
Although Phoenix is dessert, Williams in in the Arizona High Country. No 90 degrees here. Highs like at home right now, pushing 70.

Stopped at a rest area with scenic look-out while headed up Rt. 17.

Our hotel, the Grand Canyon Hotel, which first opened in 1891, is right on historic Rt. 66 in Williams, AZ

What better way to take in the scenery as we're driving through Arizona dessert and high country. Budget needed all the full sized sedans they could get their hands on, so we struck a deal and we got this convertible Mustang instead!

Here you go Jerry.....add this to your collection. Jump on AmTrack (the station is just a block away from the hotel here, and drive this baby home. Does 1 MG a collection make, or does it take plural vehicles? (1971 $3,500)
