Friday we took a guided tour from Williams to the Grand Canyon with "Marvelous Marv". (Great tour...check him out if you go.) Upon arrival at the South Rim we walked the asphalt path that encircles the canyon. Immediate reaction was 'WOW!' We had a lovely clear day. We could see volcanic mountains that were 60+ miles in the distance.

Oooh, look at Gene's pretty blue tennie's! No....actually just adding some depth perception. Enlarged, you can follow Bright Angel Trail out to the end of the bluff in the center of the photo. We would love to take the 2 or 3 day tour via mule. Imagine not only the scenery during the day, but think about how DARK it gets at night. The stars must be incredible.
