Bahama Mama Birthday !!!!

Back in October, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line had a price on a 4 day Bahama cruise that I just couldn't refuse. Best of all, one of the weeks they offered ran during the second week of March, the same time as Pam's birthday. They dropped a birthday present into my lap that I didn't have to go out and shop for or anything ! (I DID have a birthday card for her.)

Saturday the 6th we drove from Chicago to Macon, Ga. A long ride, but no longer than having gone to Columbia, SC at Thanksgiving (see 2 posts ago). Sunday, we drove from Macon to Cape Canaveral, FL where I lined up a room that included parking for the week and a shuttle back and forth to the cruise terminal.

At the Raddison in Cape Canaveral, they have a fancy schmancy pool area. Temps were MUCH warmer than Chicago, but still a bit chilly to swim in the pool. However, there is also a hot tub tucked away among some 'rocks' and we enjoyed that for a bit Sunday evening after 18 hours of driving over 2 days.
