That's because we purposely planned doing nothing !! Strictly R&R, get a some sun (what little was out), and adult beverages. We were going to put out toes into sand, but temps kept us off the beaches. And if you think about the previous postings from this cruise about the spring breakers on board, do we reeeaaally want to go into town (Nassau), or small island (CoCo Cay) and encounter them? Also, it gave the rest of us on board opportunity to use the hot tubs, because when the kids returned to the ship, they took them over and were loud. We were in one hot tub with a couple of other people, and an older (mid-late 60's) woman had the other tub to herself. Two hunky guys and 3 bikini'd girls climbed into that tub. The woman was too self-conscious and got out and joined us in our tub.
After taking care of some souvenir shopping, we treated ourselves to a horse and buggy ride through Nassau. This photo is a better picture of Lazy-Boy, our 1 horsepower horse, than of us.
Oh, there we are.
This is from on board ship, so the pier is alongside on the left. They are working on extending the piers in the harbor to accommodate the longer ships that have begun coming on-line. This framework will create another link, with tie-downs, like the one further out in the water. They will then be linked together from the existing pier to make one longer pier.
