Next week Tuesday, we start our trek back over to Malaysia. We are looking forward to seeing Tim, Shauna, Kaleb and Annie again. As Shauna puts it, 9 more sleeps until we leave, and about 30 hours of travel until we see them!
We've started gathering belongings to pack, gathered our passports and checking our arrangements, both travel and hotel. We've also booked 3 nights on the island of Langkawi, about a 2 3/4 hour ferry ride from Penang. We can each feel the excitement building, although maybe in Pam's case it is anxiety about how much work she needs to get done at the office in the next 8 calendar days.
It will be fun to again see some of the sites Tim and Shauna showed us January '07, in addition to new sites and experiences. Traveling and sightseeing as a family will be fun.
And then......it will be over as quickly as these last 16 months have gone since our last visit. But more great memories will be made. We still look back fondly at the '07 trip.

Pam has sudokus and cryptoquotes to work on, magazines and a book to read. I've set aside the new Motor Trend, Car and Driver and Caribbean magazines. Should get an Islands yet too. Gonna be a haul, but it will be worth it. Anxious to see if Cathay Pacific lives up to your hype. If I read the seating chart right the other day, the plane to Hong Kong is full.
